Stemming directly from the First Nations University of Canada's Mastercard Foundation project, the Associate Registrar will build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that effective and efficient processes and procedures are developed and followed in the delivery of services. Under the leadership of the Registrar, the Associate Registrar is responsible for researching and developing the admission processes to support FNUniv's capacity and sustainability with the long-term objective of autonomy and degree-granting authority.



Key Duties:



Oversees the development of policies as they relate to student admissions process. Lead and assess existing admissions process, revisions, and goals to inform institutional understanding of future challenges and opportunities for domestic and international enrolment growth or decline. Coordinate all student readmission requests. Ensure effective communication with University of Regina Enrolment Services about FNUniv approval of student applications. Facilitate excellence in the student experience, supporting exceptional customer service, innovation, and collaboration. Advise applicants on program/faculty choices as they relate to their academic credentials and personal interests. Maintain accurate and detailed information of all admission requirements and application process for FNUniv academic programs. Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of the website, ensuring that the website is user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the university's strategic goals.

Qualifications:



Education/experience

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration or Management with a minimum of five (5) years of managerial and administrative experience. Additionally, must have a minimum of two (2) years in a post-secondary environment and registrar office experience is an asset. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working experience with Word, Excel, Access, Intranet, Internet, etc. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare detailed reports on a timely basis Skill in performing detailed numerical computations Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal form Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Should have a good working knowledge of the uniqueness of FNUniv and its relationship with First Nations communities and the U of R; Ability to speak a First Nations language an asset; Ability to be sensitive to diverse populations; Understand and appreciate First Nation values, norms and traditions.

Salary Range:

APT Salary - Pay Grade 6 ($70,588 - $95,084)
