Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Admissions, the Admissions Advisor is responsible for reviewing, assessing, and processing applications to all programs including graduate including communicating admissions decisions. This role will provide prospective students and their families/support networks with exceptional customer support advising them on CUE programs, services, and admissions process. The Admissions Advisor will work closely with other advisors and assist with a variety of administrative tasks as it relates to the Registrar's Office.

Responsibilities:

Receive, process, and assess applications for admission for all undergraduate, and graduate programs Review and assess high school credentials for preliminary entrance scholarships and post- secondary transcripts for transfer credit Review all applications for completeness, the evaluation of academic transcripts and calculation of admissions GPAs Conduct appropriate follow-ups for all related parts of the applicant record to encourage conversion Advise prospective students and their parents/family on Concordia programs and services, and admissions requirements Make appropriate recommendations for professional and/or graduate programs Utilize online sources/tools to interpret international credentials, credits and grades into Canadian equivalents Scanning and maintenance of electronic records keeping Advise students whose application has been rejected about available options to meet admission standards Provide front desk coverage in Student and Enrollment Services Advise current, and prospective applicants in person, via Google meetings and telephone Liaise with Faculty in regard to student applications for competitive programs Prepare Institutional Statistics that are used by various stakeholders at CUE Provide training to new Admissions Advisors Study permit verification, and entry into Student Information System database Help organize and provide staffing for various recruitment even

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years' customer service experience required Effective cross cultural, interpersonal and customer service skills required Strong written and verbal communication skills, record-keeping, and ability to maintain professionalism and courtesy in answering/delivering telephone messages Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to modify duties when required Ability to exercise good judgement within established guidelines and capable of working with frequent disturbances Knowledge of post-secondary education systems, requirements, policies and the evaluation of credentials and admission documents would be considered an asset Problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills Satisfactory Criminal Records Check results
