Psykhe Psychotherapy is a virtual private practice based in Carleton Place, Ontario. We are currently looking to grow our team by welcoming a skilled
Couples Therapist
--Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), or Registered Social Worker--who is passionate about working with couples and available to see clients
evenings and weekends
.
This is a fully remote, independent contractor role with a
60/40 fee split
, where
you retain 60%
of each session. The ideal candidate is motivated to gradually build a caseload through both
self-directed marketing
and
referrals from the clinic
when available. Please note: this is expected to be a
slow build initially
, with growth over time as your practice becomes established.
What We're Looking For:
A therapist who specializes in couples work (EFT, Gottman, or other evidence-based modalities preferred)
Comfortable working evenings and weekends (schedule to be mutually agreed upon)
Self-motivated and collaborative
Committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and affirming space for clients of all identities and backgrounds
Your Responsibilities:
Provide consultations, intake, assessment, and psychotherapy to couples in accordance with your regulatory body's standards
Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation
Arrange and pay for your own supervision as required
Bring in clients through your own outreach and marketing efforts (clinic-generated referrals may supplement based on availability and fit)
Collaborate respectfully with the broader Psykhe team

Requirements:
Master's Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (required)
Registration in good standing with CRPO or OCSWSSW (required)
Active liability insurance (required)
Vulnerable Sector Check
Experience working with couples and relationship dynamics
Training in evidence-based modalities (e.g., EFT, Gottman, trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, CBT, DBT)
Comfortable working with diverse populations and intersectional identities
Able to commit to building toward a
minimum of 10 client sessions per week
