The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief Advancement and Community Engagement Officer (CAEO), the Associate Director, Marketing and Events develops and implements marketing strategies and end-to-end event plans that further enhance the school's community outreach and engagement efforts.
This will be an opportunity to flex creative and strategic skills in support of further positioning Branksome as a leader in girls education locally, nationally and internationally. Maintaining a strong brand identity that aligns with Branksome's strategic priorities, the incumbent will collaborate with the CAEO to develop multi-year integrated marketing strategies and plans to support admissions, advancement, and the school's revenue-generating programs.
As a member of the Management Team, the Associate Director will lead and mentor an award-winning team of three direct reports, overseeing their assigned work, managing performance, providing coaching, and facilitating professional development while providing strategic direction to signature and school-wide events. This team leads small and large-scale events attracting up to 500-1,000 attendees, and featuring in the past high-profile speakers such as Gloria Steinem, Arianna Huffington, Ed Burtynsky and Lisa Damour.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
In collaboration with the CAEO, develop comprehensive multi-year, integrated marketing plans
Support admissions on student recruitment but creating strategies for the purpose of driving inquiries and applications in alignment with our mission, vision and values
Oversee the strategy development and execution related to revenue-driving programs, including Slingshot Innovation Academy, Summer Camps, and Facility Rentals, etc.
Develop and maintain a strong brand identity that integrates the school's strategic initiatives, advertising, marketing and communications materials
Collaborate across departments to advise, lead and manage the development and implementation of marketing and advertising strategies
Support faculty and staff with producing high-quality school marketing materials, including event-based programs, video production, digital content, brochures, presentations, aligning content, messaging and design
Ensure marketing plans are implemented through effective project management which includes activities such as market research concept design, writing and editing as required
Lead the Events team, providing strategic direction to school-wide events while ensuring effective preparation, execution, vendor relations, and budget management
Candidate Profile:
Post-secondary degree in a related field (communications, public affairs, marketing, etc.)
5-7 years' of progressive experience in marketing, communications, advertising and events management, with team leadership experience
Experience in education or the not-for-profit sector is an asset
Proven success in creating and implementing strategic marketing and events plans
Strong writing, editing, analytical and verbal skills
Proven experience in digital, web, online and social media strategies
Creativity and innovative advertising and marketing strategies
Strong leadership skills to attract, manage, coach and inspire a team
Customer-service orientation with stakeholder management experience

Target Hiring Range: $97,521.84 - $121,848.48
