Applications are invited from internal candidates for the position of Associate Dean of Arts at The University of Winnipeg. It is anticipated that the position will start on July 1, 2025 for a five-year term.The Associate Dean reports to and assists the Dean on diverse academic and administrative matters, including development and implementation of the University strategic and academic plans. The Associate Dean chairs various University committees, such as the Senate Academic Standards and Misconduct Committee; oversees Chair renewal processes in the Arts; and handles select CAS matters. The Associate Dean also acts as the Dean in their absence, both internally and externally.The ideal candidate will

  • have a Ph.D in a discipline represented in the Faculty of Arts;
  • have significant experience in teaching, research and scholarship, and governance;
  • have knowledge of the diverse centres, programs, and departments represented within the Faculty of Arts;
  • demonstrate competence in management and interpersonal skills, as well as a collaborative working style;
  • demonstrate a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenization at the University
  • have experience working with the Universityxe2x80x99s collective agreements, policies and procedures.
