CWB Equipment Financing is a team of specialized individuals who know equipment intensive industries inside and out. We are not office dwellers - our team members often start the day in a branch and end the day on-site with our clients. We are out in the community every day speaking directly with clients, and no two days are the same.

The Associate Business Development Manager (ABDM) is a sales professional accountable for supporting regional sales activities and direct assistance to sales team members to grow and maintain profitable client relationships through delivery of expert advice and highly responsive financial solutions to business owners operating in equipment-intensive industries.

The ABDM supports the development and execution of a personal business plan and activity-based sales strategies to deliver strong, profitable and sustainable growth of equipment loans and leases across a defined sales territory.

The ABDM supports targeted growth in franchised client relationships is achieved through sourcing and anchoring strong relationships that result in successful business referrals within and across CWB's commercial and retail branches.

The day-to-day

Client Development. Strategic Planning & Negotiation. Sales Team Member.

Supports the attainment of regional sales and performance measures, including targeted goals for profitable loan growth, net new clients and internal business referrals required to grow franchised client relationships

Build, maintain, and strengthen partner relationships by developing trust, confidence & credibility by creating a world class client experience.

Expand addressable market and support closing new sales opportunities through proactive business development activities, including targeted prospecting and calling programs within a defined sales territory

Foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure team is delivering value-added services that are recognized and rewarded through growth in loans, net new clients and products per client

Source and develop franchised client relationships through strong partnerships and collaboration with specialist teams across the regional branch network

Actively and publicly represent CWB Equipment Finance in the marketplace

Use customer relationship management tools to facilitate effective performance planning and activity reporting, business forecasting, target-setting and sales process optimization and ensure strong data integrity

Ensure business growth and profitability achievements are consistent with targeted credit quality thresholds and risk appetite

Contribute to development of sales budgets and ensure expenses are effectively managed within established budget thresholds

Act as a champion and role model for Organizational Change Management (OCM)

Inspire trust by being open, honest and direct in communication, meeting commitments and behaving ethically in all dealings

Promote cooperation and positive working relationships across teams within a diverse working environment that enable effective teamwork, productive interactions and attainment of CWB Financial Group's key strategic goals

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow with

Financial and marketing knowledge of local markets and national economies built on a foundation of formal education (business, commerce, finance, sales, marketing diploma/degree) or real-life experience in a direct sales or financial services role. You have 2+ years of financial services sales experience and have demonstrated capabilities in business development and relationship management. You don't need letters behind your name (CFA, CPA) but you will need the ability to understand financial statements, how to complete analysis, and possess a sound understanding of effective risk management for large and complex financial services transactions in the equipment finance and/or large-ticket leasing space.
