The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Etobicoke is looking for a resourceful, efficient and collaborative individual to join our leading wealth management firm as an Associate Advisor for a growing Executive Council team.


By providing ongoing, exceptional service and support to our clients and our Advisor team, you will help our team deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients. As an invaluable internal and external point of contact, you will play a key role in maintaining client accounts, ensuring account administration and documentation remains up-to-date and compliant and working with the Portfolio Manager in managing client portfolios and wealth management planning opportunities (e.g. financial planning).

What will you do?



Work closely with the Portfolio Manager to identify and execute opportunities among existing clients which includes financial planning, business owner planning, insurance, wealth management, and estate planning Manage all relationships with our partners and meet with them regularly to follow up on all pending tasks and opportunities Develop, implement & maintain the team process including all opportunity tracking, reporting and follow up. Complete financial plans with myGPS system and conduct all client presentations for assigned clients Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities. You will be responsible for managing timelines and key dates for accounts to help ensure clients feel supported by our team. Tap into your problem resolution skills to provide proactive client service. Working collaboratively, you will at times liaise with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions. Work closely with the Branch Operations Manager to coordinate training, development and coaching for the new and existing team members Host weekly team operations meetings with associate and associate advisors on the team Ensure consistency in the implementation of new team process and conduct an annual review of team workload to ensure equitable distribution of work Become well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation is accurate, up-to-date and compliant. Support the Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain an audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.

What do you need to succeed?



Must-have



Minimum 5+ year of experience within Wealth Management with financial planning and/or team management responsibilities Completion of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) Experience with team development, coaching and operations Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite High quality time management and organization skills Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
