Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The Assistant Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and driving sales performance.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and development. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Support recruiting efforts by participating in the hiring process, including interviewing candidates. Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate timekeeping and employee compensation. Manage merchandising efforts to optimize product placement and enhance sales. Utilize POS systems for transactions, inventory management, and sales tracking. Conduct regular inventory checks, manage purchasing decisions, and maintain appropriate stock levels. Implement pricing strategies that align with company objectives while maximizing profitability. Collaborate with the management team on budgeting and financial planning initiatives. Develop marketing strategies to promote store events and drive foot traffic. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for financial accountability.

Requirements

Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are preferred for effective communication with diverse customers. Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial reporting. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for administrative tasks. Strong math skills for budgeting, pricing, and financial analysis. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills for engaging with customers and team members alike. Experience in training & development of staff to enhance performance and service quality. Familiarity with marketing principles to support promotional activities.
