We are looking for someone to join our Wellness Team as an Assistant Buyer & Clerk. This will involve assisting the senior buyer procure product and some time assisting customers on the floor. SKILLS The Assistant Wellness Buyer/Clerk must have and continue to develop knowledge and skills in the following areas:
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Purchasing experience, preferable in retail environment
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of natural products industry- wellness products (vitamins, supplements, herbs, body care products)
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Analytical mind, able to analyze data related to sell through rate
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast paced and ever shifting environment
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Comfortable in working in a self-directed way
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong Time management and organizational skills
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Intermediate computer skills (MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, SMS POS)
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong customer service skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor product sales and stock levels both visually and electronically
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Create and place purchase orders with multiple vendors
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Loads sale discounts and places sales orders under direction of Senior buyer/category manager
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Communicate order anomalies with receivers on PO or on receiving stream
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Enter new products and special orders as requested by category manager
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Offers input and feedback on new product options
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Update the Senior Buyer/ Category Manager regarding long term out-of-stocks, poor sellers, or hot sellers
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Under direction of Senior Buyer/Category manager- discontinue poor sellers, adjust triggers for up or down trending items to
  • ensure optimal stock levels
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with posting information about new products to beekeeper stream
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 participate in Shelf resets
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in the co-ordination and set up of monthly sales and store merchandizing
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Print sale tags for monthly or instore specials
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in sale tag accuracy checks
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in inventory checks and adjustments
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Communicate any problems or situations which arise in a timely manner to Senior Buyer/Category Manager
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Act as an information resource for all staff and customers alike
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Comply with the policies and procedures set out in the Employee Handbook and the Health and Safety Manual
  • \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with other department operations as appropriate and requested
