North Ridge Development Corporation, Saskatchewan\xe2\x80\x99s leading homebuilder, is seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor to join our Regina team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the purpose of the Assistant Site Supervisor is to support the Site Supervisor in the successful completion of new home construction projects and make the home perfect prior to turnover to the client. This position is responsible for assigning work on behalf of the Site Supervisor and performing minor responsibilities of the Site Supervisor. Primary Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Assist in the planning, scheduling and monitoring of construction activities to ensure all aspects of the project are completed on time and safely. This includes regular review of the critical path and making adjustments to maintain the schedule. \xc2\xb7 Assist in the review and direction of subtrades to complete change orders as they are received and maintaining a job file to track work. \xc2\xb7 Schedule and monitor material deliveries; returning excess materials immediately for credit. \xc2\xb7 Train new employees on North Ridge\xe2\x80\x99s standards, policies and procedures as well as Occupational Health and Safety requirements. \xc2\xb7 Assist Site Supervisor in conducting safety and toolbox meetings. \xc2\xb7 Assist Site Supervisor in conducting Hazard Assessments and inspections. \xc2\xb7 Liaise between Site Supervisor and crew to ensure directions/tasks of Site Supervisor are assigned across construction staff and subtrades in a timely manner. \xc2\xb7 Report safety incidents in an accurate and timely manner. \xc2\xb7 Act on behalf of the Site Supervisor in his/her absence. \xc2\xb7 Complete Vehicle Maintenance Report on a monthly basis. \xc2\xb7 Resolve problems/issues in an effective and timely manner, always keeping the customer in mind. \xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Skills Required: \xc2\xb7 Carpentry Apprentice in at least second year or equivalent experience. \xc2\xb7 3 years of experience in construction industry including all finishing aspects. \xc2\xb7 Good understanding of home mechanics including appliances, plumbing, heating, flooring and structural elements. \xc2\xb7 Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, insurable by North Ridge. \xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. \xc2\xb7 Proficient time management and organizational skills. \xc2\xb7 Self motivated. \xc2\xb7 Safety conscious. \xc2\xb7 Negotiation skills. \xc2\xb7 Must be a resident of Saskatchewan and be legally able to work in Canada Thank you for your interest in joining the North Ridge team.
