Paladin Security has an exciting opportunity as an Assistant Site Supervisor in Southgate Mall. This position reports directly to the Site Supervisor and is expected to perform the following duties:

  • Review Incident Reports to ensure that standard are maintained in accordance with the sites protocols.
  • Assist the Site Supervisor with initial and ongoing site training programs.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the clients and Site Supervisor
  • Coach and motivate front line personnel in their day-to-day duties, ensuring site morale is maintained.
  • Supervise the site security staff and act as a resource for any issues in accordance with Paladin and client policies and procedures.
  • Monitor performance of front-line staff and document/discipline staff where standards are not being met; provide regular and thorough feedback to the Site Supervisor.
  • Perform regular patrols within the Shopping Centre
  • Complete monthly CCTV room client audits on the dispatcher office and files
  • After hours on call in rotation basis
  • Maintain site uniform stock
  • Ensuring staff are uniformed and uniforms are in good repair
  • Report any operational issues directly to the Site Supervisor
  • Schedule staff and submit payroll discrepancies as needed.
  • Clerical duties such as filing and drafting of memos as required.
Successful candidates will posses the following:
  • Valid Alberta Security License or ability to obtain one
  • Must be bondable
  • Minimum three years Security Experience with at least one year in a supervisory role or post-secondary diploma/certificate in a related field.
  • A valid Class 5 driver\'s license, clean drivers abstract, and own vehicle
  • Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate, and solve complex problems.
  • Effective communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Basic computer proficiency, report-writing, and note-taking skills
  • It is considered an asset to have First Aid/AED/CPR, NVCI, and PPCT training, however, this training will be provided to the successful candidate
