Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated assistant carpenter to join our new home construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, concrete work, and general construction practices. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to deliver high-quality results. Candidates must be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to our team's success. All current required safety certifications for the province of Ontario are a must. Work vehicle and required tools are to be discussed. A valid Ontario driver's license is required.

Duties

Perform concrete forming of footings and walls Perform all aspects of residential wood framing Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment safely and effectively Install siding, framing, and other structural components according to project specifications Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor as required for construction tasks Utilize woodworking skills for custom carpentry projects and repairs Follow safety protocols during all phases of construction work Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites, maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Experience

Hands-on experience with framing is preferred Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment proficiently Prior experience in siding installation or related exterior construction is a plus Strong understanding of safety procedures in construction environments Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
