Type of Employment: Contract

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Leading multi-discipline project teams in the preparation and pricing of proposals for interconnect services
  • Developing and managing scope, schedule, and budget
  • Detailed design review of interconnect requirements
  • Lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis and design reviews
  • Generating single and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring, DC schematics, control building and relay panel layouts, lighting design
  • Coordination with structural, civil, distribution line disciplines
  • Performing site visits for data gathering
  • Writing material procurement and construction specifications
  • Supporting marketing proposals/efforts
  • Evaluating contractor bids
  • Reviewing shop drawings
  • Generating engineering fee estimates
  • Providing field support during construction
  • Preparing reports
  • Supporting the development and implementation of marketing plans to achieve new business goals.
  • Recognizing and identifying viable projects
  • Developing close client relations
  • Providing project planning
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Must have Project Management experience working in managing the design of electrical power substations distribution and interconnects for utility clients.
  • BSEE from an accredited university
  • 5 years or more of years in facilities and substation experience
  • Professional Engineering license and ability to obtain NCESS license.
  • Experience leading and mentoring less experienced engineers and designers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with power delivery projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
