Assistant Professor tenure track - Oral Medicine or Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology

The College of Dentistry invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position in Oral Medicine or Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology. The successful candidate will be required to deliver didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching; supervise student research projects; initiate, lead, and participate in research activities; compete successfully for external funding to support their research program; and undertake relevant administrative activities and service work.

The position involves the delivery of the College\'s Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology curriculum through pre-clinical, clinical and didactic teaching of undergraduate DMD students. Experience in the preparation and teaching of pre-clinical and clinical aspects of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology will be considered an asset. Strong interpersonal communication skills and a broad knowledge of dental education are expected.

Candidates must have a DDS/DMD or foreign equivalent, a Certificate and/or Masters in Oral Medicine or Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology. Candidates possessing a PhD and research experience will be our ideal and preferred candidate. Candidates must be eligible for licensure by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan, including academic licensure. Applicants who have Oral Medicine or Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology National Dental Specialty Examination (NDSE) administered by the National Dental Examining Board (NDEB), certification or are eligible to apply for the NDSE, are considered an asset.

Salary bands for the position are as follows: Assistant Professor: $99,945 to $120,099; Associate Professor: $120,099 to $140,253; and Professor $140,253 to $163,766. Independent of rank, a starting salary above the standard salary bands is possible pursuant to Article 18.2.6.12 of the 2017-2023 USFA Collective Agreement (see: .
