Overview


We are seeking a proactive Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. They will support key corporate functions at Harbourside Engineering. This role works closely with senior leadership and cross functional teams including our steering committee. They will coordinate strategic initiatives, enhance intercompany communications, support proposal development, and assist with non-technical aspects of new projects.

The Harbourside Group of Companies, comprised of Harbourside Engineering Consultants, Harbourside Transportation Consultants, Harbourside Geotechnical Consultants, and Harbourside Project Management, is a full service heavy civil infrastructure design firm with office locations in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, St. John's, Newfoundland and Stoney Creek, Ontario.

As one of the fastest growing and highly respected Engineering firms in Atlantic Canada, Harbourside is looking for the right individual to join our team and support our growing, multi-company operations. This opportunity is available in our Dartmouth, NS office.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities



Coordinate scheduling, materials, and follow up for steering committee meetings. Track action items and support implementation of committee decisions. Conduct research to support business development, project planning, and competitive analysis. Assist with preparation and submission of proposals, and related documents. Support contracts and insurance documentation processes and track renewals or deadlines. Prepare internal updates, memos or briefings related to strategic initiatives or project status. Support administrative and operational setup for early phase project work (example, site logistics, insurance, permits etc.) Developer regular summary reports or presentations for leadership review. Identify opportunities for process improvements within operations or cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements and Qualifications



Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business or related field. 2-4 years of experience in business coordination, operations, or administrative support role. Excellent organization and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
