They play a key role in our continuous improvement and commitment to delivering quality food. We are recruiting for an Assistant Mushroom Grower. This position assists in direction and insight to the growing staff to ensure delivery of high quality mushroom crops. Key Responsibilities:

• Assists in managing environmental conditions
• Production forecasts: monitors quality and inventory of raw materials
• Manages cooling requirements, checks, records, temperature, air movement, R/H, and CO2 levels in growing rooms
• Assesses and responds to changing growth characteristics
• Implements improvements to the quality and efficiency of growing process
• Keeps accurate records
• Monitors filling and emptying of growing houses
• Communicates with Growers and Harvesting team throughout the harvesting process
• Follows all safety and food safety procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of mushroom related work an asset
• Degree in science or agriculture, an asset
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 (or the ability to achieve certification within 3 months\' of employment) an asset
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Must have reliable transportation

Hours of Work: Work schedule varies depending upon needs of the department. Weekends and Holidays. We provide:

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
