Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our warehouse operations. This role involves overseeing daily activities, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in supply chain management, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will collaborate closely with the Warehouse Manager to improve operational efficiency, manage logistics, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

:

Receiving (Primary Focus)

Lead and oversee all inbound shipments. Verify packing lists, purchase orders, and incoming quantities. Supervise unloading, inspection, and stocking of received goods. Resolve receiving discrepancies and communicate issues to management and suppliers.

Staff Management & Daily Coordination

Assign daily tasks and direct warehouse staff, especially receiving teams. Train employees on procedures, and equipment. Monitor productivity, and performance. Maintain clear communication between department

Inventory & Warehouse Organization

Maintain accurate stock levels through counts and audits. Support restocking, storage optimization, and organization. Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including inventory control, procurement, and demand planning Familiarity with freight forwarding, shipping & receiving procedures Excellent leadership skills with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Knowledge of forklift operation certification is a plus but not mandatory Effective communication skills for coordinating across departments and external partners

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
