Assistant Manager - General Description:

Under the supervision of the Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store and excellent customer service. Replacing the manager when absent, the assistant manager must therefore contribute and help to achieve the overall objectives and maintain the company's standards while motivating and developing a dynamic team.

Tasks and responsibilities :

Sales

• Coordinate his or her actions with the manager to ensure continuity of operations during the manager's absence.
• Participate in maximising the return and profitability of the store.
• Welcoming, answering questions and advising customers (technical characteristics, quality, and materials of the products).
• Train employees on the best sales techniques and products.
• Collaborate in the implementation of sales objectives, ensure that they are met and surpassed.
• Properly communicate the information necessary to achieve these sales objectives to the entire sales team.
• Support the manager in the analysis of sales results.
• Helping to efficiently manage the payroll through good scheduling and high- performance employees.
• Be on the lookout for what the competition is doing and what the market is doing.
• Build a regular clientele by publicizing the brand image and developing contacts in

the retail field.

• Identify the type of clientele, their needs, requests.

Product

• Ensures consistent execution of the company's marketing and visual presentation.
• Assist in planning the reception of merchandise and ensure the rapid

implementation of the display.

• To know the merchandise and the technical characteristics of the products.
• Ensures that the visual standards of the store are always met by ensuring an

appropriate mix and depth of key SKU's and by identifying the needs of the store

by using and analysing supplier sales reports and/or modifying the store layout

(displays) and making recommendations to the District Manager.

• Ability to create enthusiasm and show passion for the product by communicating

relevant fitness, fashion and product information to customers.

Human Resources

• Contribute to building a high-performing team; recruit, prepare and train the next

generation by identifying the best potential candidates for various positions.

• Motivate the team: create a positive work environment in pursuit of excellence

and develop a sense of belonging and pride in working for the company.

• Transmit the company's vision and mission to its team.
• Participate in the performance appraisals of all staff in his store.
• Assist in scheduling and communicating work schedules to employees and monitor

absences and delays.

• Act as a role model at all times.

Operations

• Demonstrates the ability to track and ensure that all the company's customer

service standards are consistently applied.

• Maintain appropriate inventory controls, facilitate inventory transactions and mass counts.
• Ensure price integrity and overall product pricing and reflect current markdowns

and margins in accordance with company guidelines.

• Ensures that merchandise is archived, properly stored on shelves and posted

within 24 hours of receipt in accordance with operational standards.

• Maintains a daily record of in-store sales, planning, damages, errors, deposit log,

employee discounts, documents related to daily operations.

• Ensures that the store is well maintained, including dusting, mopping, windows

and storage according to company housekeeping guidelines.

• Completes daily planning and ensures discussions regarding performance and

overall productivity.

• Works in accordance with the company's loss prevention and safety policies and

procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week
