Our Calgary Chinook location will be one of the first PayMore stores in Canada, creating an exciting opportunity to be part of something new.

The Role



As Assistant Manager, you will help launch and run one of the first PayMore stores in Canada. You will play a key role in operations, customer service, and team development while ensuring the store runs smoothly and customers have a great experience.

You will work closely with the Franchise Owner to build the business, coach the team, and create a friendly, tech-savvy, and sustainable retail environment.

Key Responsibilities



Support the Store Manager with all aspects of daily operations including sales, customer service, staff scheduling, and inventory management. Buy, test, and appraise electronics from customers including smartphones, laptops, gaming consoles, and tablets using PayMore's pricing and data-wiping systems. Ensure accurate data handling and device testing for all buy and sell transactions. Assist with staff hiring, training, and ongoing development. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized retail environment. Help achieve store sales and profitability targets through exceptional customer experience and strong leadership. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and care. Support local marketing, social media, and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications



One or more years of retail management or keyholder experience. Strong knowledge of consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and gaming systems. Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems quickly. Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with a wide variety of customers. Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented. Motivated by growth and challenges, comfortable in a startup-style environment. Able to lift up to 25 pounds and remain on your feet during shifts. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
