About the Opportunity

The Accounts Receivable Assistant Manager report to the Manager of Accounts Receivable; the Accounts Receivable Assistant Managers are responsible for supervision of staff executing the invoicing of services to customers and government agencies, and the follow up and collection of accounts. The Assistant Managers are responsible for overseeing best practice processes in their role, following applicable legislation and organizational policy. The Assistant Managers under direction from managers execute month end closing processes for their departments, including all reporting, reconciliations, and journal entry adjustments.

The Assistant Managers will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide day to day advice and support to the Accounts Receivable staff based functional expertise. Under direction of managers, the Assistant Managers act as the key functional resource by coordinating, planning and leading the day-to-day activities within the Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable teams. They are also responsible for providing in-depth analysis of Accounts Receivable data from the Accounts Receivable and Financial systems (SAP) and for ensuring that current and emerging requirements across the province are met.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in related field required. Equivalent combination of education and progressive leadership experience.
  • Other certifications considered an asset
  • Minimum 5-7 years strong management and/or functional system experience and knowledge of Accounts Receivable service delivery and operations required
  • Possesses a solid understanding of the Accounts Receivable process and key performance indicators
  • Strong knowledge of all Accounts Receivable legislative compliance and remittance issues
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant standards and best practices, healthcare structures, environments and services;
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable practices, government legislation, and ability to interpret legislation/policy.
  • Highly knowledgeable of SAP functionality for Accounts Receivable.
  • Highly knowledgeable of technical aspects of SAP and how they relate to or impact the Accounts Receivable process.
  • Experience in engaging, mentoring and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives an organization
  • Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships
  • Strong analytical skills and strong conflict resolution skills
  • Efficiently delegates the issues to the team members
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Permanent, Full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives

$35.27 - $44.10 Hourly
