Responsibilities
Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient food production.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on teamwork and high performance.
Support food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards, adhering to food safety regulations.
Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
Train new staff members on food handling procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health codes and safety standards.
Assist with budgeting and cost control initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.
Support catering, banquet events, or special functions as needed to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
3-5 years of Kitchen experience with a minimum of 2 years experience as an assistant kitchen manager
WHMIS and Food Safe Certified
Familiarity with inventory control practices, food safety regulations, and food handling procedures.
Ability to lead a team effectively
Experience working in diverse food environments such as seniors facilities, catering and banquet services
Computer literacy for Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work flexible hours including morning, days and evenings as well as weekends and holidays based on business needs
Criminal Record Check is required.

Pay: $20.14-$27.06 per hour
