Job Summary

We require a highly motivated, energetic and responsible Assistant Instructor to work approximately

16 to 30 hours per week Monday to Thursday

.

This is a part-time, permanent position with a training / probation period.

Responsibilities

grading of student work (paper and digital) observing, assessing, guiding students with classwork providing feedback to Assistants, Instructor and Parents preparing student folders / worksheets assisting with planning and execution of retention activities , i.e. student awards events, summer games supporting Instructor and other Assistants with instructional / centre management tasks

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following attributes and qualifications:

love working with children (grades K to 12) minimum one year experience working with children in a classroom / group environment (volunteer or paid) strong customer service and interpersonal skills academic reading, writing, verbal communication skills at a senior high-school level (testing will be required) academic math proficiency at a senior high-school level (testing will be required) ability to work fluently among a variety of computer programs and platforms adaptable, dependable, efficient and willing to learn new curriculum within a short time-frame. willingness to complete a criminal records search including a vulnerable sector screen
