Please note: The chosen candidate must have access to a reliable transportation. This job requires travel between client homes and office(s). The chosen candidate must be available to work flexible hours Monday to Friday 2pm-7pm and Saturdays full day 8:30am-4:30pm. Primary location is within the Mississauga area.

We are a multi-disciplinary children's centre supporting children and youth with autism and their families. The team consists of the owner/director, Registered Behaviour Analysts, and Supervised Therapy Assistants (Communicative Disorders Assistants and Instructor Therapists).

At Teach Me My Way Services, our primary focus is to determine each child's unique learning style in order to design an individual plan for their growth and development. The successful candidate will have the same passion and drive to think outside the box to provide optimal learning during one to one and small group intervention.

The

Supervised Therapy Assistant (Instructor Therapist)

will work closely with the entire team to provide a supportive learning environment for children/young adults from the ages of 2 years to 25 years with complex needs related to a diagnosis of ASD. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to and from the office (Mississauga centre) and families' homes within Mississauga and surrounding areas. May occasionally be expected to travel to and from Hamilton location to attend meetings and/or trainings.

Duties and Skills



Planning and implementing programming goals designed by the Registered Behaviour Analyst for one-to-one and small groups therapy sessions Accurately documenting client progress using an online charting system Attending team meetings and trainings Solid time-management skills Minimum of 2 years experience working with children and/or young adults with ASD Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team

Other Requirements:



Must provide an up-to-date Criminal Records check with Vulnerable Persons within 30 days of being offered the position. First Aid and CPR certification is recommended (or ability to attend course within 30 days of start date). Successful candidate will have a valid Ontario driver's license (class G) and access to a reliable vehicle Willingness to attend Continuing Education Workshops and/or online webinars
Salary: $18-$22.50 an hour (tiered pay)
