Overview

The Little Miners Early Learning Centre is thrilled to introduce a new, fully licensed childcare facility in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, serving toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children from 18 months to 12 years old.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. You will assist in the daily operations of the daycare, supporting the Room Leads and ensuring that each child's needs are met. Your passion for early childhood education and ability to work with diverse groups will contribute to the overall development and well-being of the children in our care.

The current position if a full-time and permanent.

Wage levels are dependent on the level of ECE you currently have, and this roll offers opportunity to obtain higher levels within ECE if the candidate is interested in pursuing.

Duties

Reports directly to the Director Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and curricula that meet the needs of all children. Manage inventory & supplies. Supervise and support teaching staff in their daily activities, providing guidance and feedback. Administrative duties Help with employee schedules and manage leave requests Handle parent communication. Aid in the hiring process of new staff. Manage current and future grants. Supervise children during playtime, meals, and nap time to ensure their safety and well-being. Support children with disabilities by providing individualized attention and adapting activities as necessary. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that fosters learning and exploration. This role with be a mix of office and floor time

What You'll Bring:

ECE Level 1-3 Certification Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (Current) Valid First Aid/CPR-C Certification - Not mandatory but an asset Strong communication and interpersonal skills Passion for early childhood education and commitment to professional growth

Pay: $19.94-$32.62 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
