Position Overview
We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Director to join our leadership team at our Kings Road location. This role supports the Director in managing day-to-day operations, administrative tasks, and staff coordination across both Sandcastles locations in Regina.
Key Responsibilities
Enrollment & Family Communication
Manage waitlists and group transitions
Follow up with families regarding enrollment status
Schedule and coordinate tours with the Director
Child Records & Compliance
Keep all child files accurate and current (health cards, allergies, emergency contacts).
Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures
Staff Coordination & Training
Assist with scheduling staff hours, vacations, and leaves
Arrange substitute coverage as needed
Share training opportunities and maintain staff calendars
Provide on-floor coverage during breaks, sick leave, or vacation
Inventory & Supplies
Conduct bi-weekly inventory reviews
Manage monthly supply orders for both locations
Parent Portal Management
Oversee and maintain the Parent Portal system
Other Duties
Support the Director with additional administrative and operational tasks

Qualifications
ECE Level 3 Certification (required)
Minimum 3 years of experience in a daycare or early childhood setting
Previous leadership experience is considered an asset
Willingness to travel between two Regina locations during the workweek
