Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist the Controller in managing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Lead or contribute to the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial reporting standards and regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and enhance efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and support to less experienced accounting staff, fostering their growth.
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate year-end audits and address inquiries.
• Contribute to strategic finance projects and organizational initiatives as needed.

• CPA designation or near completion, with final-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization.
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes and internal controls.
• Exceptional analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in accounting software systems considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
