As

Assistant Controller, you'll take a leading role in financial operations, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance across the Kroeker Farms group of companies. This is a high-impact position within a fast-growing organization, offering significant opportunity for growth, innovation, and the chance to help shape the future of our finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Controller in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including the general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. Oversee financial transactions and record journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Perform consolidation of multiple entities, including reconciliation of intercompany transactions. Reconcile inventory accounts and support job costing for field operations. Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget. Contribute to the development and maintenance of administrative systems, processes, and internal controls. Support year-end audits and government reviews. Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, PST, and other tax filings. Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis for management and other stakeholders.

CPA designation or actively pursuing is required.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in private or public accounting, ideally with exposure to multi-entity or consolidated environments.

Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.

Strong analytical mindset with ability to solve problems and interpret data.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Adaptability to change in a growing organization with evolving systems and processes.

Ethical, trustworthy, and committed to confidentiality and integrity in financial reporting.

Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be considered an advantage.

This is a full-time position, located at our Head Office in Winkler, MB.
