Assistant Controller
Job Description
Robert Half is currently recruiting for an ambitious Assistant Controller, eager to grow with a fast paced privately held, distribution and transportation company. This company has experienced unparalleled growth over the past 3 years. If you are in a senior accountant position in industry or in a senior associate role within the Big 4, this is a career move destined to fast-track you into a Controller role within 2 years.
What you get to do regularly:
\xc2\xb7 Oversight of month end close processes including preparation of monthly financial statements and monthly reporting package.
\xc2\xb7 Maintenance and review of cash management and forecasting.
\xc2\xb7 Review of accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
\xc2\xb7 Assist with regulatory and banking audits.
\xc2\xb7 Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
\xc2\xb7 Develop and strengthen workflow process efficiencies across the organizations divisions.
Requirements
\xc2\xb7 CPA designation preferred or very close to completion
\xc2\xb7 Previous experience working within the Big 4 or large public practice firm
\xc2\xb7 Leadership experience is an asset but not a requirement
\xc2\xb7 High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure
\xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate at a high level, both written and verbal
