We are seeking a dynamic and experienced early childhood professional to serve as our Assistant Center Director. This dual-role position combines administrative leadership with hands-on classroom support, requiring someone who can seamlessly transition between managing center operations and working directly with children and educators in the classroom.
Primary Responsibilities
Administrative Leadership (approximately 60% of time)
Partner with the Center Director in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the center maintains the highest standards of quality care and education. Assist in developing and implementing center policies, procedures, and curriculum. Support staff supervision, including conducting observations, providing feedback, and facilitating professional development. Help manage enrollment, family communications, and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians. Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and accreditation standards. Assist with budget management, inventory control, and ordering of supplies and materials. Participate in staff meetings, family events, and community outreach activities.
Classroom Support (approximately 40% of time)
Provide direct classroom coverage during staff absences, breaks, or when additional support is needed. Step into classrooms to assist educators during challenging moments or transitions. Model best practices in early childhood education and positive guidance techniques. Support implementation of curriculum and assessment procedures. Build meaningful relationships with children and families through regular classroom presence. Assist with classroom management and creating engaging learning environments.
Qualifications
Required:
Level 3 Childcare Certification.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in early childhood education settings.
At least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Clear background check and ability to meet all state licensing
