Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth accounting operations. This role is essential in supporting our bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and account reconciliations. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is highly desirable.

Responsibilities



Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to verify and match financial records. Analyze accounts for discrepancies and resolve issues as they arise Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline bookkeeping processes Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately in accounting software Process invoices, reconcile vendor payments, and manage client billing to ensure timely payments.

HR Support:

Assist with benefits administration, process enrollments and changes, and provide support to the HR Manager.

Experience



Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks is essential Knowledge of payroll processing and related regulations is a plus Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Knowledge of payroll and employment standards is essential

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
