Assistant Accountant
to join our finance team in
Toronto
. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to grow their accounting skills while supporting daily financial operations in a professional and dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing daily financial entries, invoices, and payment vouchers.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain accurate records of receipts, expenses, and financial transactions.
Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal review.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for billing and payment follow-ups.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up to date.
Support senior accountants in audits, budgeting, and tax-related documentation.
Organize and maintain accounts-related files, documents, and digital records.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance (Toronto experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and basic financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work with accuracy and meet deadlines.
