Lubec Construction Ltd. is a fast-growing Construction Management Company with office located in Victoria, British Columbia that specializes in multi family construction across Vancouver Island. We are founded and structured on a model which affords us a greater capacity to respond quickly to the needs of our clients; resolve issues with minimal to no interruption in the construction schedule, and complete projects that exceed our clients' expectations. As we expand, we are looking for a dynamic, organized, and hardworking Assistant Accountant / Payroll Specialist to work in our office. This position is considered full-time and a permanent position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES -

In Office Position

Processing hourly and salary bi-weekly payroll for employees Statutory remittances for source deductions and GST Annual T4 remittances WCB and WorkSafeBC filing and maitenance Benefits administration Accounts payable processing and remittances Visa reconciliations Reconcile monthly force accounts with bi-weekly timesheets Manage cost management for project costing through company software and QuickBooks This position will have direct communication with all members of the company, from laborer's to top executives, but will report to the Controller and Directors. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:



Ability to work according to deadlines and prioritize workload. Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Create and maintain positive relationships with team, clients, suppliers and subcontractors Familiar with provincial legislations for Workers Compensation and labour standards Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Proficient with QuickBooks Previous experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud is an asset Previous construction accounting experience is and asset Willing to learn.

PERKS WITH LUBEC:



Full-time salary Position: $55,000 - $65,000 per year 2 Weeks Vacation Yearly Work hours 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday - Friday Benefits Package for you and your family
