The Opportunity

In this role you will follow proper process and procedures to specification outlined for each specific order. This position works closely and cross-trains in Powder Coating and Blasting.

The Team

You will work both independently and as a team member to assemble products according to specifications and drawings by using various hand tools. This position will report directly to a Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and efficiently by following safety rules and standard operating procedures.
  • Assemble materials using hand and power tools following design specifications.
  • Operation of equipment within the department
  • Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements.
  • Review of finish parts to ensure accuracy against drawings.
  • Communicate with maintenance or engineering personnel regarding setup of equipment and technical issues.
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to wear the appropriate PPE for the given tasks
  • Proven ability to work safely and follow all SOP.
  • Read and understand blueprints, specifications and drawings
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team orientated, flexible attitude and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks
  • Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction)
  • Complete repetitive tasks
  • Work in fast paced department
  • Completion of grade 12 or GED
  • Exemplary attendance record
  • Production experience an asset
