Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Roller Operator to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating heavy equipment, particularly rollers, to ensure smooth and efficient paving operations. This role is critical in maintaining the quality of our projects, including asphalt and concrete work.

Duties

Operate roller equipment to compact asphalt and concrete surfaces for paving projects. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with team members to coordinate work activities and meet project deadlines. Assist in preparing job sites, including setting up necessary equipment and materials. Conduct quality control checks on finished surfaces to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and regulations. Provide support in other areas of construction as needed, including loader operation and excavator tasks.

Experience

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with rollers, loaders, and excavators. Knowledge of mechanical systems related to construction equipment is essential. Familiarity with paving techniques and concrete forming processes is highly desirable. Previous experience in commercial driving is a plus, as it may be required for transporting equipment to job sites. A background in construction or related fields will be advantageous for this role.
