Five Star Paving is looking for a skilled and motivated

Asphalt Raker

to join our paving crew. This is a hands-on for someone who not only knows how to finish asphalt but can also support the screed operator on the paver when needed.

We're looking for someone confident finishing asphalt and jumping in on the opposite side of the screed when the job calls for it. You'll be working closely with the paver and roller operators to ensure the mat is clean, tight, and finished right.

Duties

Rake and finish asphalt with a focus on quality and appearance Help coordinate the crew working behind the paver Communicate with the paver operator and screed operator to maintain flow and consistency Operate the screed on the opposite side when required Monitor safety, efficiency, and workmanship on site

Skills

2+ years of paving and raking experience Natural leadership ability and a collaborative mindset Solid knowledge of paving best practices and safety procedures Reliable, punctual, and ability to work in a team environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
