Positions available: Arts and Crafts Day camp director Major Duties for the role include, but are not limited to: \xe2\x97\x8f Planning and preparing weekly activities that relate to the theme of the camp \xe2\x97\x8f Teaching various disciplines that relate to the camp you have been hired for (Arts and Crafts) \xe2\x97\x8f Organizing daily warmup events \xe2\x97\x8f Work as part of a team to deliver a safe, fun, creative environment for day camp participants each and every day \xe2\x97\x8f Assist in the direct supervision and mentorship of camp counsellors \xe2\x97\x8f Build positive relationships with participants, parents, guardians, co-workers \xe2\x97\x8f Liaise & communicate with parents who have questions/concerns regarding the program and working with the Capital Camps supervisor to resolve any issues Successful candidates will: \xe2\x97\x8f Have experience participating in and/or teaching the discipline their camp focuses on (sports) \xe2\x97\x8f Be encouraging, spontaneous and creative \xe2\x97\x8f Believe in the power of camp \xe2\x97\x8f Hold current CPR/First Aid \xe2\x97\x8f Be a registered member with the Ontario College of Teachers (asset) or currently enrolled in childcare / recreation studies programs \xe2\x97\x8f Have 3 + years of programming/childcare experience \xe2\x97\x8f Strong knowledge of age-appropriate activities for children ages 4 to 12 years \xe2\x97\x8f Excellent communication and interpersonal skills \xe2\x97\x8f Demonstrated leadership skills with children & adults Supervision and Reporting Structure: The camp director is responsible for supervising 3-5 camp counsellors. Each camp director reports to the Head Director/Owner. Compensation: will commensurate with experience- range $1100 - 1250/weekly Schedule of Work: July 4 \xe2\x80\x93 Sept 2. Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months Salary: $900.00-$1,250.00 per week Benefits:
