Job Description
Blue Moon Academy is looking for an Art Teacher. You will be responsible for planning lessons and ensuring that students learn at the correct pace. Although the primary focus is on art, the Art Teacher must be able to teach a wide variety of courses, ranging from arts and crafts to digital design. You will be working with a wide variety of students of different ages and experiences. The ideal candidate has a background in fine art, is familiar with the Ontario Curriculum of Arts, and works well with children and teens.Responsibilities:
- Manage and educate students in a classroom setting.
- Design, Develop and implement engaging lesson plans.
- Offer constructive feedback and encouragement to students in a positive manner.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of students at all times.
- Guide, coach and mentor students when working on independent projects.
- Facilitate class discussions and encourage participation from all students.
- Create visuals for art lessons (e.g. paintings, sculptures etc.).
- Discuss art history, modern art movements and other topics of interest as relevant to the class.
- Monday to Friday Afternoon & Evening
- Weekend availability
Contract length: 12 monthsSalary: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
