A state-of-the-art print department offers extensive printing options on traditional papers, alternative substrates, and vinyl wallcovering. We are inviting an experience Art Consultant to join a terrific team! Reporting to the Showroom Manager, this position will be responsible for collaborating with the Showroom team and other colleagues in the following responsibilities:

  • Conducting scheduled client appointments, reviewing \xe2\x80\x9cclient\xe2\x80\x99s own\xe2\x80\x9d art with the utmost care, and executing project vision based on product stock/technical knowledge
  • Understands all limitations and capabilities of materials offered and advises clientele with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Develops art packages and curates project concepts, with a focus on the client\xe2\x80\x99s needs/requests
  • Sources art internally and externally as per project requirements; image sources within PI\xe2\x80\x99s image library
  • Aids walk-in guests and appropriately assists all types of inquiries and sale requests, including alternative items and Original Art
  • Monitors client satisfaction and expectations; help direct their final decisions towards work orders and manufacturing, via external and/or internal resources
  • Supports art direction of all projects and is an information resource for the in-house creative team to collaborate with for final development on elevated concepts
  • Enters client quotes and client orders through internal company software, and efficiently monitors all which responsible for, till completion
  • Corresponds with outside vendors/suppliers while working on custom requests
  • Advises and implements quotes in a discreet fashion when required, considering different kinds of business accounts open with the company
  • Fosters and builds the gallery\xe2\x80\x99s high-end clientele, maintained with timely follow up, attention to detail, and other effective demonstrations of customer service
  • Other tasks appropriately assigned by management
If you have experience in these areas, and also have...
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in a gallery, or interior design business
  • Post-secondary degree in Art History or Visual Arts related discipline an asset
  • High end customer service/corporate experience an asset
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience using Pinterest and other similar platforms
  • Very proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Quick learner, willing to adapt and train with the eventual usage of internal company software
And if you have
  • Knowledge of Canadian & internationally acclaimed art (classic, post-war, contemporary, etc.)
  • A thorough knowledge of the art market
  • Experience working with clients in a project management capacity in a creative field
  • Professional presentation with excellent communication, writing, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Excellent project/time management technique, with an inherent skill to judge the priority of follow-up/next steps of execution
  • Able to autonomously function and plan out daily tasks/workflow
