The Glenhyrst Summer Arts Camp has a long legacy of creating impact in our community. We play a leading role in providing quality camp experiences for children and extraordinary employment opportunities for young people. This is where you come in: What you will do\xe2\x80\xa6 - be a part of a summer team at Glenhyrst Art Gallery - Work as a camp instructor for children ages 4 - 11 to facilitate daily art activities and games - Supervise campers during art activities, outdoor time and during meal times - Ensure camper inclusion - Generate and maintain camper enthusiasm - Monitor campers\xe2\x80\x99 health including hydration, sun protection and overall wellness - Assist with camper arrival and departure procedures - Participate in pre and post camp procedures - Administer first aid as required What you will bring\xe2\x80\xa6 - Experience working with children or youth, or experience working in a camp setting an asset, but not required - Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment, responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to diverse needs - Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills - Use good judgement and problem-solving skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive issues with tact and discretion - Will hold: current Standard First Aid with CPR-C - Willing to obtain a Vulnerable Police Records Check if selected for a position What you will gain\xe2\x80\xa6 You will join an incredible summer team and an organization that encourages appreciation, enjoyment and education in arts and culture in our community.
