We are looking for a full-time Architectural Technologist to support our Production and Construction team. This individual will be a key member working to achieve the project goals and expectations of our clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to choose to work remotely from Calgary, AB, or from our Saskatoon, SK headquarters if desired. Big Block specializes in modular construction techniques and integrated design processes to accelerate many of our multi-family residential projects. R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S
  • Liaise with municipal government representatives, land developers and team members on various projects
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings with clients, project partners, and consultants
  • Complete permit applications and compile all required documentation
  • Have extensive experience working with AutoCAD/Adobe Suite
  • Produce and prepare complete sets of working drawings, graphic presentations and visualizations
  • Prepare plot plans, grade slips, building plans and joist layout for municipal governments
  • Assist with the preparation and review of specifications and construction documentation for various projects
  • Review and approve shop drawings
  • Complete site inspections; write site visit reports
  • Create job files and manage all project documentation and contract administration
  • Maintain current knowledge of building standards and codes in both part 9 and part 3 residential construction
  • Participate in relevant opportunities for continuing education
