The Senior Residential Construction Architectural Technologist/Production Coordinator will be responsible for creating working drawings and drawing design changes within CAD, coordinating HVAC and Truss drawings and details, product development, in addition to other support at the direction of the Architectural team Manager. The successful applicant must have a minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience within the Low-Rise Residential Construction industry. Responsibilities:
- Creating working drawings for existing and new product within AutoCAD
- Implementing drawing and specification changes as required
- Ongoing maintenance of drawings product library
- Design development of lot specific details
- Coordinating HVAC and Truss drawings
- Other support activities at the direction of the Production Team Manager
- Must have a minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience within the Low-Rise Residential Construction industry \xe2\x80\xa2 Diploma/Degree in Architecture or Technologist program completed
- Superior drafting skills and ability to adhere to strict drafting standards
- Well established knowledge of building science, detailing, construction methodology and materials application
- Knowledge and experience in best practices in building and construction detailing
- Good understanding of Ontario Building Code and government authorities
- Well-developed ability to understand technical matters with attention to details
- High proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is a must
- Familiarity with construction procedures, field review and contract administration
- Commitment to meeting strict deadlines, hardworking, and self-motivated
- Ability to take direction and to adhere to strict quality standards
- Good problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Superior communication skills
- On-site parking
- Monday to Friday
- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Architectural Technician: 8 years (required)
- AutoCAD: 8 years (required)
