Metal and Wood Products (1958) Ltd. is a leading Custom Metal Fabrication Shop that specializes in design, fabrication and installation of high end Architectural Metal details. We are looking for an installation technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience installing metal elements or other fixtures on job sites, as well as a keen eye for detail and a willingness to perform to the highest level of standard. Site installations are the final contact point with customers, so applicant must be able to work with and around customers in a professional manner to get the job done right. Applicant will be working in a team of two generally.

Scope of Work:

Stairs, Canopies, Art Sculptures, Gates, Railings, Handrails, Outdoor Kitchens, Glass and much more...

Position includes, but not limited to:

Install internal and external architectural metal components according to drawings provided Planning for installations, including tools and equipment required for the job Use of glues, epoxies, power tools, fasteners and hand tools Utilize skills to install, measure, cut, sand and shape metal materials for precise fit as required. Liaising with clients, design team, and production team. Troubleshooting when on the job site Collaborate with site contractors to meet project deadlines Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet company standard

Requirements:

Have a valid drivers license and be comfortable driving a full size transit van. Be proficient in English and have excellent communication skills Be proficient in construction installation techniques Have good level of personal pride in workmanship Be able to read installation drawings Be presentable and be motivated to get jobs done in a proficient manor Must be able to lift a min of 50 lbs. on a regular basis Ability to organize, plan and multi-task Open minded and creative with trouble-shooting ability Entrepreneurial spirit and strong team player Experience with tools used for installations
