What You'll Do
As our Architectural Draftsperson you will be an essential support by:
Developing a suite of drawing packages (Preliminary, IFT, IFP, IFC); Reviewing consultant work and collaborating with the project team to ensure customer expectations are met.
Managing special design considerations on projects, like accessibility, energy efficiency, signage design, etc.
Completing permit applications and forms.
Maintaining organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documentation.
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drafting work.
Assisting the Design Manager and team with various items related to design.
What We're Looking For
Qualification and Experience
Completed Diploma in Architectural Technology Program or equivalent.
Pro?cient experience with AutoCAD and Revit. Lumion is beneficial but not required.
3+ years experience working in residential buildings. Multi-family speci?c is an asset.
Extensive familiarity with the National Building Code of Canada (BCBC and ABC is beneficial).
Ability to perform well under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Ability to research and interpret municipal bylaws and architectural controls.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a project team.
Pro?ciency with computers and Microsoft suite of products.
