Overview


We are seeking a skilled drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, utilizing various software tools to create detailed drawings and schematics. This role is essential in supporting our engineering and design teams in the development of innovative projects.

The drafter will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that designs meet specifications and project requirements.



Architectural drafters use CAD software to develop detailed drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.

CO-OP students currently enrolled in college/university are welcome to apply.



Responsibilities



Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Develop schematics for various projects, including architectural layouts. Collaborate with engineers and architects to refine designs and incorporate feedback into drafts. Utilize software such as AutoCAD and Revit to enhance design capabilities. Prepare presentation materials, including 2D animation and visual aids, to communicate design concepts effectively. Maintain organized records of all drafts and revisions for future reference. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drafted materials.

Requirements



Proficiency in CAD software is required.

SolidWorks and Revit are highly desirable but not required. Strong understanding of drafting principles and practices. Ability to create accurate schematics and technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. A degree or certification in drafting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
