North Lakes Developments and Construction is looking for an Architectural Designer to join our team. This position would require the individual to meet clients, understand and implement the clients\xe2\x80\x99 requests, create designs/drawings for the project that work with municipal, regional, and provincial guidelines. A successful candidate would have the ability to communicate with customers at a high level, as well as be able to provide top notch customer service while creating unique but practical designs. Strong technical skills in CAD software is a pre-requisite for the position. Architectural Designer Responsibilities:
- Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an architectural office environment.
- Meet with clients to plan projects surrounding new construction, renovations, and/or additions.
- Visiting sites and recording required measurements to create designs.
- Consulting with clients about the design considering factors such as intended goals for the property and project budget.
- Create Architectural Designs and working drawings using CAD.
- Experience submitting designs to the city and working with the building department for necessary changes.
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario Building Code.
- Experience recording and maintaining all vital information and documentation.
- All layouts and blueprints must be compliant with industry codes and legal standards.
- Experience designing outdoor pool structures, decks, and pergolas an asset.
- BCIN certification.
- A portfolio of completed designs.
- Excellent technical skills, particularly with CAD software.
- Strong creative design and time management skills.
- Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good maths skills.
