The Arcadis IBI Vancouver office is looking for an Intermediate Architect to join the Institutional team.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on various projects from design phase through to construction. To be successful in this role it requires strong design and working drawing skills.

Most of the things you\xe2\x80\x99ll work on:

• Work in internal groups of 2 \xe2\x80\x93 4 staff depending on the project.
• Engage with clients to understand the Project requirements, attend client and consultant meetings, guide the design process with thoughtful insight and best practice knowledge
• Experience in all aspects of the project is preferred: design development, working drawings, contract administration, and field services
• Monitoring of project controls and associated reporting as well as profit & loss responsibilities for the practice

Qualifications

You\'ll need to have:

• Masters degree in Architecture
• Minimum of 5-10+ years of related experience as a project architect, with construction phase experience
• Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia
• Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
• A deep understanding of how to put together a set of construction documents that provides clarity to those that implement them
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills
• Ability to work independently and through collaboration and co-creation with others
• A high level of proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD
• Demonstrated background of experience detailing institutional buildings, both new and renovations.
• Experience working on healthcare projects is beneficial.
