ABOUT OUR CLIENT
This is a great opportunity for a talented Architect looking to take the next step in their career into an Associate or Senior Associate position and to be a part of the leadership team in this dynamic studio. This firm works on a range of different project types including multi-family, mixed use, commercial, public and industrial. With multiple offices, this firm are expanding their Calgary operations. They have a collaborative culture which is acclimatable, flexible, supportive of family life and balance, and values quality architecture and excellent service delivery. This position is being hired confidentially.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Architect / Associate will be involved in all phases of projects, from design development, client management, contract administration, development permits, overseeing production, through to project closeout. The right candidate must have experience working with both small and large projects and capable of mentoring junior staff. In addition to full cycle project work, this role will also involve business development, operations and leadership and client liaison.

This candidate will have the following aspects;

  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Architecture (Registered or eligible to become registered in Canada/British Columbia)
  • AAA or AIBC Registration or eligible to become registered
  • Minimum 9 years\' industry experience
  • Proven track record with projects in the commercial, institutional, multi-family, mixed use or retail sectors ( a variety
  • Detailed approach to project management with an entrepreneurial mindset in developing a team and leading projects forward through to completion
  • Strong design skills and appreciation for quality design
  • A passion for design and architecture with a strong leadership approach
  • preferred)
  • Good knowledge of the Calgary market with local experience and ideally a good local network of connections - prior experience with business development is strongly preferred
  • Strong client liaison skills
  • Experience working with technical programs like Revit
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Desire to lead others and be a part of the leadership team and growth of the company
