Job Description

Key Responsibilities



Installation:



Install plumbing and drainage systems, pipes, fittings, fixtures, gas lines and plumbing & HVAC appliances.

Maintenance:



Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systems, including clearing drains and inspecting equipment.

Repairs:



Diagnose and repair leaks in pipes, fix water and gas lines, and service plumbing fixtures and HVAC appliances.

System Testing:



Test installed pipes and fixtures for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.

Troubleshooting:



Identify and resolve complex plumbing and HVAC issues in various settings.

System Planning:



You will learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout of plumbing systems and identify the best locations for pipe installation without damaging existing structures.

Code Compliance:



Adhere to all plumbing and gas codes and safety regulations.

Documentation:



Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service calls.

Supervision:



Advise and mentor Y1 plumbing apprentices.

Required Skills and Knowledge



Physical Stamina:



Capable of handling tools, working in varying temperatures, and performing physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and lifting.

Technical Skills:



Proficient in using hand and power tools, considerable knowledge of various plumbing and HVAC materials and fittings.

Problem-Solving:



Developing diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities to find solutions for plumbing and HVAC problems.

Communication:



Effectively communicate with clients and team members.

Customer Service:



Provide high-quality service to clients and address their concerns to ensure satisfaction and efficient project completion.

Qualifications and Education Requirements



Registered Y2 or Y3 Plumbing Apprentice

Trade or Construction Experience

Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications and Education



Valid First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform

Can operate Loader, Forklift, and Bob Cat

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
