Trillium is hiring an Applications Specialist. This individual will prepare technical proposals and provide order support, including document control, tracking, and order management. They will also perform sizing and applications of valves and pumps Key Responsibilities include:
  • Support customers with original and aftermarket equipment requests.
  • Prepare quotation package including both technical and commercial offering.
  • Follow-up calls with customers after proposal submission.
  • Ability to process customer purchase orders into order confirmations and sub-vendor buyouts utilizing ERP package when needed.
  • Track customer and vendor correspondence.
  • Work with internal departments to resolve customer and supplier questions.
  • Read, understand, and convey operating manual information for client troubleshooting.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures and offering solutions.
  • Expedite orders with suppliers to maintain on time delivery.
  • Inspect shipment contents and compare with records to verify accuracy of shipment.
  • Maintain quote and order filing systems.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Assist with coordination of larger orders, including quotations, purchase order processing, delivery updates, and document control.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications The details described here are representative of those that are encountered by or must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Education/Experience Minimum of College diploma in a technical field with 3+ years of work experience in field. The role will cover technical specification of pumps and valves. Experience with at least one of the two required, training to be provided.. Experience in a customer facing role an asset. The ideal candidate will bring excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Language: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal - English) are required for this role, given the regular interactions with customers over phone and e-mail. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write technical correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Computer Skills: Adept in Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Word, & Excel). Exposure to ERP and CRM packages (Salesforce) an asset. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
