The Manufacturing IT Application Engineer is required to work in all phases of a customer project (design, systems engineering, specification writing, project management, development, installation, start-up and validation). The candidate is familiar with the manufacturing environment and controls the documentation process as well as the development cycle of industrial applications. This role operates within a multidisciplinary team that integrates technology and business expertise to deliver professional solutions. Responsibilities
Perform design, development and implementation of software applications for:
Production data acquisition and management systems
Quality data acquisition and management systems
Process visualization, reporting and industrial data analytics
Integration to process control systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Interface to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Digital Manufacturing Cloud based platforms
Support the project technical lead and the client with the development of functional specifications and detailed design specifications,
Perform the installation and start-up of systems or applications, remotely or at the customer site,
Execute testing and qualification activities in respect with the industry rules and regulations,
Provide post implementation support and training to clients. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s or Associate\'s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Other training and relevant professional experience will be considered,
Minimum of 2 years of experience with the deployment of manufacturing IT and industrial software systems,
Technical knowledge and practical experience with at least one industrial software product and solutions such as OSISoft, Aspentech, InfinityQS, Rockwell or Siemens,
Knowledgeable in Relational Databases (SQL, Oracle, ...) and .NET programming languages,
Good communicator, fluent in English, spoken and written,
Knowledge of requirements related to regulated industries preferred (FDA, GMP, 21 CFR part 11),
Knowledge and experience with infrastructure including servers and network hardware/configuration (VMs, routers, security, \xe2\x80\xa6) preferred,
Working effectively in a team environment.
